Shaskeen a traditional Irish group from the West of Ireland got their name from a Reel called THE SHASKEEN.

 

Formed in London in 1970, SHASKEEN play a fire brand style of Traditional Irish Music reminiscent of a house set dance seen back in Ireland before the introduction of television.

 

The following albums have been recorder by Shaskeen.

SHASKEEN have appeared on numerous TV and Radio shows, performing at set-dances throughout Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Germany, Spain, Moscow and the US.

We are off to Alsace France on 28th May to 2nd June to the Rhine Valley Irish Association for their annual festival of workshops , concerts and ceilis.
